Global place branding consultancy Resonance Thursday announced the world’s top 100 cities in its annual World’s Best Cities Report.
The Best Cities Rankings quantify and assess the relative quality of locations, reputation and competitive identity of the world’s major cities of more than one million inhabitants. They are considered to be the most detailed city rankings in the world, based on an original methodology that analyzes both key statistics and user-generated ratings and online activities on channels such as Google, Facebook and Instagram.
“The World’s Best Cities Rankings compare the overall performance of more than 250 cities around the world across a variety of criteria to identify the top 100 places to live, visit and invest,” said Chris Fair, President and CEO of Resonance .
The overall Best Cities ranking is determined by analyzing each individual city’s performance on a variety of factors that have historically shown a positive correlation with the cities’ attractiveness for jobs, investment and/or visitors.
Based on each city’s performance in the 24 factors analyzed, these are the World’s Best Cities for 2023:
